With Google Home you can run your projects that contain an action button. In the project editor you will find the action button in the sensor section.
Setup
To use Google Home with Conrad Connect, please enable "Personal Results" when setting up Google Home.
Tell Google Home:
"Ok, Google, talk to Conrad Connect."
The app will ask you if you want to connect to Conrad Connect. In the "Link to Conrad Connect" field, click "Link". You will now be redirected to the Conrad Connect website. There you log in with your Conrad Connect user data and give Conrad Connect permission to connect to your Google Home device.
Troubleshooting
If you haven't enabled "Personal results," Google says Home:
"I need your permission before I can use your personal information. To change your settings, open the Google Home app on your phone. Then you can ask me again."
If the redirection or connection to Conrad Connect does not work, this may mean that an existing Conrad Connect skill connection is present. To override a previously granted access by your Google Home language assistant, please follow these steps.
Log in to Conrad Connect, then go to the Google Home device page. Revoke access there!
Now open the Google Assistant on your mobile device (integrated by default on Android devices, for iOS in the App Store).
Tap on the exploration icon (stylised compass icon) and type Conrad Connect into the search mask.
On the now opening page for the Conrad Connect Action you can now cancel the access for good.
Note: In individual cases, it is necessary to tap the link icon with Conrad Connect more than once in order for the link to be successful.
Usage
How can I use Conrad Connect with Google Home?
Say to Google Home: "Ok, Google, talk to Conrad Connect ...".
Google Home will now ask you which project do you want to access.
Say the name of the Action Button project you want to run and "Ok Google, talk to Conrad Connect to activate "project name"".
Example:
Create an Action Button project that you call "LIGHT", for example. Now say "OK, Google" and then "Talk to Conrad Connect". After the answer of Google Home say "start LIGHT" to execute the Action Button project. Google Home can also execute your project in one sentence with:
"Hey Google, Talk to Conrad Connect and activate / execute / order LIGHT".
Hints for creating projects on Conrad Connect:
Don't use the name "Goodbye" to name a project, because Google Home switches off with this voice command. Only use project names in the same language you have set Google Home in.
